As with the rest of you, we've been living in a winter wonderland. At times it has been a lot of fun, and other times it has left us confined to our home. Never the less, it has certainly made it feel like winter time.

Now for the doggie update...
Well, it was inevitable that we would run into our first "real" veterinarian visit. Last week Lucky was on the loosing end of a battle with a neighborhood dog. Might I add this dog only came up to her knees! Lucky got nipped on the tip of her ear and tore a blood vessel that sent us off to the vet to get stitched up, bandaged and sent home with a cone on her head.... If only this was end of the ordeal. Friday we loaded up and went back to the vet to get her bandages off. While Lucky was in the back room, Kevin was eagerly typing the number for the groomer so we could get her all cleaned up and smelling fresh again... aah a normal dog, we were so excited! Unfortunately our excitement was quickly squashed when the vet returned to the room where we were waiting. He told us that the good news was that her injury has healed up great, however, while he was removing the bandage, he cut her ear with the scissors. We now had to start this whole process over again. Poor lucky! We were both speechless and now eagerly await next Monday.
New addition to our family...
For those that we have not seen in a while, we have some news to share. We recently added a new member to our family... a puppy. We are now officially dog people. It is much like becoming a new parent in many respects, only a little different. Lots of new adjustments to our household! Lucky is a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog "swissy" that flew in from Oklahoma back in October. She is a real sweetheart and is VERY tolerant of Anna's constant loving. Their friendship formed very quickly. She is a very big baby now weighing in at a whopping 90+ lbs! We have also enrolled in puppy kindergarten and are learning as a family good doggie manors. She is a quickly learning.
Our first blog...
Well, we are going to entertain the idea of blogging. Maybe even dip our toe into the waters to test it out. It seems to be what everyone is doing these days. We love the idea of sharing our lives with our friends and family, especially those we don't get to see as often as we'd like. We have no idea how this will turn out in the end, but here we go....
